Is it ok for me to be painting a room at 7 months pregnant?

I really want to get the nursery done and painted so I can begin "nesting" but my husband and I are on completely opposite schedules until the baby is born. I was wondering, is it safe for me to go ahead and get this project underway, or should I pin him down for a day and have him paint the nursery? I don't want to hurt the baby if there is a chance the paint fumes could be harmful, and he has offered to paint it but I'm being picky about how I want it to look (I'm the artist in the family). Any opinions?
