Are your horses more playful during a weather change i.e. before a storm?

Hello, I am a "fairly" new horse person, I have a QH filly, that I've had for two years, and two draft mares for a year now. I have noticed that when the weather changes or a storm is in the forecast, they all run around and play like they're nuts!!! It's so fun to watch out my living room window, and I was wondering if this is a normal horse behavior or mine are just silly! It took quite a bit of time last year for the draft mares to let my QH into their herd (the two came from the same place) and so I'm guessing thats why I didn't notice it as much last year. Do your horses do this? I think its beautiful!!
