what's the weather like in mexico at the end of may/early june?

what's the weather like in mexico at the end of may/early june?

i'm going to puerto vallarta may 29-june 3 and have been looking online to see what the weather is like then, but i've been getting different info. some websites say it's the rainy season and it'll most likely rain most of the time and other websites say it'll just be hot and humid and doesn't rain much. so....which is it?? and what's it like at night? should i bring long pants and shirts with sleeves or jackets? thanks for any info! any tips on stuff to do other than the beach would be great too!! thanks!
