how is that "not respecting herself" she's giving herself what she wants, that sounds like self respect to me.

why don;t men have to "respect themselves" by not sleeping w/ us unless we really care about them?

You know, that question is excellent in that it covers a cliche I've always heard but I too have never reconciled or understood. Certainly if you slept with , whoever it is, why would that particular guy not respect you any more or "respect you less" after the fact? You're right. I don't get it nor will I ever. I can see how it would make him happy or something like "let's do this again ok" or something like that. I can see how the guy would think about you more even if he doesn't love you, but obviously it could lead to that if it didn't happen already. On the downside, let's just say that you didn't hit it off even after sleeping together. Well, then, you just didn't hit it off regardless of the reason then. Again, as far as the so-called respect issue, or lack thereof is concerned, that whole thing has always gone way over my head. There again, I'm also giving the use of the word "respect" regarding this issue more credence than it perhaps deserves to begin with.
