What is the weather like in Chicago in late august beginning of September?

We are thinking about going to chicago for our honeymoon. Can anyone tell me if it is a good time to come in late august beginning of september. We know we want to go to the Shedd Auqarium. Can anyone tell me if there are any must sees when we are there?
