Hair Help For Humid Weather?

Hi

I have curly hair but i like to straighten it a lot, Im moving to Tennessee soon and the weather there is soooo humid. I was there a few weeks ago and every time i did my hair like 20 mins later it look soo horrible, it curled right back up again and got poofy.
I need to find a hair product that keeps my hair straight but still has volume, i was looking at the John Frieda weather works but im not sure if that will work.
any tips?
