Okay, what should I wear under a snow bib to go tubing in 40 F weather?

I'm new to the whole snow bib thing. The weather where we will be tubing this weekend will be around 40 F with snow showers. Do I wear jeans, stretch pants, or sweat pants under the snow bib? I don't want to get too hot or feel too bulky. What do you women usually wear, nothing?
When you're finished, do you just keep wearing the snow pants everywhere? I mean, do people usually change out of them for the drive home or do they just wear them in the car. I just don't want to look stupid at a truck stop walking around in snow pants and boots.

Sorry if I sound stupid but I'm new at this.

If the bib is waterproof you can get away with just about anything....stretch pants, fleece, pajamas, jeans...whatever.

If the bib is not waterproof, I'd wear something synthetic like fleece pants...anything not made from cotton.

Most of the ladies I work with on ski patrol, instructors, etc wear fleece or pajama bottoms, that seems to be the fashionable things. You can always change into jeans or something else.

I wear fleece pants under my ski pants and normally I just take my ski pants off and put them in a ski bag until I get home. However, I live only 20 minutes from where I usually ski, so often I just wear my stuff to the mountain and just put my boots on at the mountian.

Wear stretchy pants so your movement isn't encumbered by bulky jeans, and 40F is not cold, so I wouldn't wear sweats. Remember you'll work up some internal heat by your activity, and you don't want to get too hot, start sweating, then get cold again. Another good idea are pants that are lightweight thermal underwear. Have fun!
