How is the weather in California in October?

I'm getting married on October 4, 2008 and i was thinking of an outside cerimony but im not sure how the weather will be. I cant remember if October is still warm or cold. Does anyone know how the weather is in the Merced - Fresno area in Californa for October?
For those who are not from Central CA JULY is arround 104 degress NOT 80 haha i wish it was 80!

depends on the location. September is when it starts to get a bit chilly. It is 80 out in like july not october!

I would be willing to bet on warm and sunny. It's possible to have an early storm come through during October, but since you're getting married at the beginning and not the end of October, the odds of that are pretty small. Congratulations!

it should be warm. my friends got married in late september last year and it was sweltering outside (in ojai CA)... it was almost ridiculous how hot it was. remember that september-october is fire season here in california. it is sometimes the hottest part of the year for us. if your ceremony is in the late afternoon/early evening hours i think you'll be fine.
