Thunderstorm in 27 Degree weather and snow??

So, right now, it's a lovely 27 degrees outside, we have a winter weather advisory, and we have a THUNDERSTORM? It was also snowing a little, went to rain, and now is snowing again. I thought it was a plow outside, with all the noise, but went to get my cell phone out of the car, and what do you know! It doesn't really seem natural to me. Anyone have an answer?

I know thunderstorms are caused when warm air and cold air colide. But, with it being 27 degrees out, where exactly would warm air be?
