| How will the weather be in Las Vegas next weekend? And what to wear at La
Reve? Restaurants for dieters? I have already checked weather.com and know it will be in the upper 70's. Will it be warm enough for dresses? Capris? Tank Tops? Being in Reno where it is still barren cold, I can't remember exactly how warm upper 70's are. Also I am going to go to La Reve at The Wynn....how should I dress? I know it is the classiest hotel, but how nice? Will pools be open? Also I have been to Vegas many times before, but this will be the first time ever while sticking to a diet. My husband and I are on 1400 and 1800 calories a day...are there any good restaurants with lighter fare? I know at Buffetts there are plenty of healthy options, but they are mixed in with cupcakes and potato salad, and if I had that sort of self control, I wouldn't need to be dieting in the first place. Thanks for any and all help.

Hi Reno lady. Our weather next week will probably be more like 60's than 70's with latest TV forecast. But compared to Reno it will be nice and warm, unless that northern wind starts up. Bring along a sweater for nights as the desert temp drops when the sun goes down, the casino is cold (the showrooms are), or the wind starts blowing. Capris should be good during the day with short sleeved tank tops. Bring a pair of jeans just in case. Wynn is an unusual place where the view can only be seen from inside the casino, restaurants, etc. Though people don't always dress up for shows, it is fun to wear a nice dress but no need for hubby in suit coat. Down here even the "rich" go casual, in fact some times more casual than locals or people from other countries like Asia who really put on the dog. Don't know about the pool being opened next week though. But Wynn has a lovely pool just to sit by. As far as the diet goes, I agree buffets are have tempting food but you can make it. Just do the salad and then dinner plate, avoid the end with dessert. I have not eaten at Wynn but they have all kinds of restaurants from the cafe to celebrity ones. Because of people with diabetes or vegans, they always seem to have a wide food variety. Just make sure you ask for the salad dressing or any sauce on food on the side. BTW Wynn has the DI crossover to the brand new Palazzo which is connected directly to the Venetian if you go to the waterfall and walk to the Venetian's shops. Have fun! |
