Why would my 5.7 liter Ford start quicker when the weather is cold versus...

...warm? Takes several tries when warm? Ford Expedition 5.7 liter. Hard start whenever weather is warm even if the truck is warm (i.e. not fuel pump related). Starts quick when weather is cold.
