Weather in NYC in June? Is it really hot?

Hi! I'm applying to a summer program in NYC. It's in June, and housing is cheaper if I get a non-air conditioned room. I assume I won't be spending too much time in my room except for sleeping at night. It's hard for me to get to sleep if it's too hot.

Do you think it will be too hot in June in NYC to not have AC?

You can probably manage. Early June rarely is too hot at night. By the end you could see temps in the 80s daytime, although tat is rare. New Yorkers have ways of handling heat without A/C. Easiest is running the cold water in a bathtub all night long. It absorbs some of the heat. But again, a problem in June is unlikely.

June can go either way. It can get hot, but it doesn't usually get really brutal. July and early August are usually hotter than June. But it is not impossible to get 90-degree days in June.
