how is the weather in London?

because I'm going there on thursday and I'm not sure if I should take a warm or thin jacket. so how is the weather, and what clothes would be good to wear?

I'm not in London
Im in newcastle
but for gods sake take a warm jacket and wear warm clothes, no shorts with tights shite, jeans or summit.
its going to be cold...and raining
