I have the weather, but what does it mean?

3PM - 40% Chance of rain
4PM - 40%
5PM - 40%
6PM - 20%
7PM - 20%
8PM - 20%
9PM - 20%

The race is scheduled to start around 4:00, but is 40% a good number?

Its better than a 100% chance. With those #'s, there is a better chance of it not raining than that of it is raining. i will tell you it looks nasty out here in Cali. right now, but hopefully the rain will stay in the clouds and not pour on us.

i checked we have a good chance of getting the race in if you go to weather.com interactive map and go down and click race ways you can see the california speed way looks clear but you never now what may happen and 40 percent is a ok number but the race is long and a couple of drips will stop the race

yes, They should (if the tracks wet now) use jet dryers from sonoma because sonoma won't be using them and they can dry the rack quicker seriously there were pocono ones at dover.
