Why does my asthma get worse in dry cold weather?

When I go outside when the weather is really cold and dry I can't breathe at all, but when it's warm or cold and wet it's fine. Why is this?

I saw something on tv news recently warning joggers that it's not a good idea to jog in temperatures below freezing because the frigid air taken into the lungs doesn't have time to warm up and can can cause the lungs to freeze. This is particularly true for people with respiratory difficulties to begin with. Just a guess.

It's hard for a lot of people to breathe in cold hair. Wet is more natural.

The cold air shocks your lungs and then they start to draw up I have the same exact prob
