Well, what sort of guidance do you require? You seem to have already made up your mind as to what you want to do. Do some research into schools which offer these courses. I believe Scripps in the US has excellent postgraduate programs and Bangor in the UK is renowned for it's marine biology programs if that is of any help. If you want to do more of the biological side, I strongly suggest you go with marine biology, unless you have a strong interest in the physical processes in the ocean (oceanography) you will probably be happier with that. Also have a look at this page:http://marinebio.org/MarineBio/Careers/It gives some helpful advice and as far as I am aware also lists universities both in the US and abroad that offer marine biology programs (at all levels: undergrad, postgrad, Phd etc):http://marinebio.org/MarineBio/Careers/USschools.asphttp://marinebio.org/MarineBio/Careers/INTschools.aspIndividual schools will tell you what their admission requirements are. Also check out:http://planktonforums.org/to discuss possibilities with fellow marine biology enthusiasts. If you want to boost your chances of being accepted, I suggest getting some practical experience if you do not already have it; internships, volunteering etc.I highly recommend Mote Marine Laboratory's internship program:http://www.mote.org/index.php?submenu=Education_Interns&src=gendocs&li nk=College%20Internship%20Program%20Main%20Page&ca tegory=EducationHope that helps!
