Zoology Question?

I like reptiles, mammals, and birds. I know zoology is the study of animals and such, but can I study and major in all of those. And about how much do zoologists make?

Most zoology majors are given the opportunity to take a variety of classes: ornithology, herpetology, mammalogy, entomology, ichtyology, etc. If you get a Bachelor degree you will not have a whole lot of room for specialization..but if you go on for a Masters or Phd, you can specialize when doing your thesis research. I would say the best job opportunities of the 3 you are interested in are with birds. Birds are abundant in every part of the world. Many people want to specialize in just one species, such as tigers, or wolves, and these animals ranges are limited...so there are not as many jobs. Knowing your birds will allow you to work anywhere and everywhere in the world that you want. But..I am a little biased! Pay depends on how high of a degree you have, experience, and on WHO you work for. Government agencies do not pay as well as non-profits or environmental consultant firms, etc.
