What is zoology?

okay, can someone give it to me short & simple? I'm going somewhere with animals and stuff. I'm getting an internship dealing with rats next year. Is that zoology related? I thought that was biology. I'm planning my core classes on chemistry & wondering if zoology the right field since i like animals lots.

Zoology is the study of nature's animals. Yes you are in the right field. And remember it is pronounced like zow-ology, zow as in bow and arrow, tow truck, and go go go.

Zoology is The branch of biology that deals with animals and animal life, including the study of the structure, physiology, development, and classification of animals. I just finished talking the class at my school and really enjoyed it. If you like animals then you will most likely like the class. We learned about behavior, reproduction, and genetics.
