What are some tips on how to get into the zoology scene?

i'm a sophmore in high school and i've been passionate about zoology and marine biology for five years now. i have A's and the occasional B's (no special honors/AP class...but i have a 104% in my biology class). any advice on how to better my chances on getting into this field of work when i'm older. like college reccomendations, extracurriculars, organizations, or anything! or books for that matter. thanks

Check with your local zoo for volunteer and internship programs. Some zoos will allow you to work your way up to a paid positon, others want a 2-4 year degree in zoology or other closely related topic. If you want to study wild animals outside of a zoo, then go to school majoring in zoology, biology, wildlife management, or marine biology. Try to do as much hands-on work while still in high school and college, it will up your chances of getting a job once you graduate. Check out these websites more more info:
